Facts and Figures
Vancouver is the largest city in the Canadian province of British Columbia, and the third largest city in Canada, with a population of around 578,000. It's located on the country's west coast, about 30 miles north of the United States border. It is home to Canada's busiest port. Vancouver has always done a brisk business in logging and mining operations, and in recent years has become something of a tech hotbed. Although housing prices have declined with the worldwide economic crash, it remains the most expensive city in Canada in which to live.
