| opera | a dramatic musical work consisting mainly of singing, with orchestral accompaniment |

| rhythm | the repetitive pattern of regular or irregular beats |
| oratorio | a choral work, usually on a scriptural subject |
| octave | a musical interval embracing eight degrees; a tone or note at this interval; or the whole series of notes, tones, or keys within this interval |
