Great Stuff for Teachers Newsletter

September 2006, Volume 3

Dear Teachers

We hope your first few weeks back in school have been rewarding! Hopefully, the kids have settled back in and you are enjoying your new charges.

Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 8-14) is the perfect opportunity to review fire safety rules, help students to create a Family Escape Plan, or share a related book with your class: Even Firefighters Hug Their Moms.

Studying animal habitats is a core part of every science curriculum. Take a look at our Animal Adaptations Unit containing 13 lessons for grades K-8. Explore the rainforest through reading and writing activities or browse other habitat lessons to enrich your curriculum.

Best Wishes,
From the Editors at TeacherVision.com

RESOURCES
Substitute Teacher Resources
Many classroom teachers fret about taking a day off for professional development, sickness, or other personal matters - envisioning their class turning into a carnival scene of disruption! On the other hand, substitute teachers fear being put in charge of a class without proper instructions and planning. Help ease this situation by using our Substitute Teacher Resources to prepare for those planned (and unplanned) days off.
