Andy Neighbor
"Teaching biology is the love of my life, except for my wife," says Andy Neighbor, whose colleagues often comment that Andy is the best at "putting on a performance" in the classroom. Although British teachers have very little spare time, Andy still finds time for athletics. He enjoys refereeing on local football pitches (soccer fields) and partaking in the time-honored tradition of the gentleman's game of cricket.

Theresa Neighbor
Theresa Neighbor has held several different jobs since graduating from college 17 years ago. She has worked as a bilingual secretary in London, as a French and German teacher for both senior high students (ages 11 to 18) and adults, and, after retraining, as a primary school (ages 4 to 11) teacher. In her spare time, Theresa enjoys reading, swimming, walking, and – as an ardent cosmophile – being with people from other cultures.

Kimberly Neighbor
Eleven-year-old Kimberly's passion in life is Irish dancing. At home in England, Kimberly belongs to a troupe of Irish dancers who perform all over the local area. She also belongs to a Girl Guides pack, and she hopes to join a similar group in the U.S. because she loves going to camp. Kimberly also loves animals, and enjoys spending time with her exchange family's pet poodle. Spending time with animals comes close to being with young children, which is the type of work Kimberly would like to be involved in later in life.

Martin Neighbor
Martin, age nine, eats, sleeps, and breathes football, England's national game that is known in the U.S. as soccer. He was his English football team's star midfield and forward, often scoring goals for his championship-winning team, and he hopes that his football talents will help him make many new friends in the United States. Besides football, Martin's hobbies include swimming, hockey, basketball, and cycling. He belongs to a Boys Brigade group affiliated with a local English church in his hometown and hopes to join a group like it in California.
