The Learning Pod is composed of five areas:

This area is the heart of Learning Pod! The Test Center is an in-depth, extensive review and practice area correlated to statewide math curriculum standards and statewide-standardized tests. Features include: Interactive, animated tutorials of essential math skills (grades 3-8) Nationally standardized practice tests like SAT9, CTBS, ITBS, etc. Over 35 individual state standardized practice tests like FCAT (FL) and TAAS (TX), extensive interactive math problems with immediate feedback and progress reports that track test scores and skills practiced over time.

Game Pod

The content in the above section can also be viewed through a game format. This area includes a collection of interactive, challenging games that puts the fun back in learning math and reinforces classroom concepts
.

LP Credits

Students accumulate points as they use the Test Center and Game Pod areas. The more they practice and achieve, the more points they can earn for online awards, recognition and the key to the "secret game."

Teacher Pod

Teachers have private access to a Pod all their own with Teacher Pod. Teachers can log on at any time to check on students' progress individually or as a class section. There's even an indicator to help teachers group students by skills not mastered making lesson planning a lot easier and more focused. In this teachers-only section, teachers can refer to the "How To Use the Learning Pod" section. Written by an educator who actively uses the program, teachers can learn how and when to use each area effectively in their own classrooms. Other how-to sections exist within the Teacher Pod with ready-to-print-and-distribute information. Teachers can build parent awareness of the math curriculum and improve parent involvement by downloading helpful information from the "School-Home Connection" section. Here, teachers and school administrators can find helpful how-to information right at their fingertips, from "What to say in a newsletter to parents" to "How to host a math night using Learning Pod."

Other sections include account set-up, a list of test taking tips, study skills and links to other relevant math sites.

Parent Pod

This section includes everything that a parent would need to take an active part in helping their child succeed. The "Math Guide" section provides a quick and easy refresher course on math skills, so parents can take a more active role in answering questions and explaining concepts. And, parents can always check on their child's progress at any time, by simply accessing the web site through their child's account.
