March 2007, Volume 1

Dear Teacher,

April is National Poetry Month, a perfect time to encourage your students to flex their creative muscles by writing a haiku or narrative poem. Don't stop there, because your students will enjoy and learn from all types of poetry.

Take the time this April 15 for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Your students can practice their math skills while learning about various events and significant dates of the Holocaust. You might also read about Anne Frank, a tragic victim of that genocide.

Also in this issue: Easter occurs in April this year. Take a break from your regular science lessons and dye eggs with your class. And remember World Health Day on April 7, a great opportunity to teach your class about practicing healthy habits.

Best Wishes,
From the Editors of TeacherVision.com
