January 2007, Volume 1

Dear Teacher,

Welcome back from your well-deserved holiday break! This is an important time of the year to get the focus back on learning and move along with your curriculum.

February is filled with teachable moments! First, explore the struggles and achievements of African-Americans this February, with our Black History Month resources. Next, use Groundhog Day as an opportunity to teach your students about the winter season and shadows. Finally, strengthen core reading and math skills with our Valentine-themed activities.

Journal writing is a way for your students to express their inner thoughts and demonstrate their knowledge of topics discussed in class. Use our journal tips and techniques to help introduce your students to journal writing.

Best Wishes,
The Editors of TeacherVision.com
