January 2007, Volume 2

Dear Teacher,

With Presidents' Day occurring in February, it's a perfect time to plan a Social Studies unit based on our great country. Research past presidents with our U.S. Presidents' Biographies and Meet the Presidents Game. Teach your younger students about famous U.S. events with our American History Little Book Projects.

Valentine's Day and International Friendship Week make February a great time to explore Social/Emotional Issues with your whole class. Stress the need to create a peaceable classroom, and discuss feelings and effective ways to communicate.

Also in this issue: Introduce your class to the traditions of the Chinese New Year, and check out our new TeacherVision® Polls!

Best Wishes,
The Editors of TeacherVision.com
