February 2007, Volume 1

Dear Teacher,
There is a lot to celebrate in March, and we have the resources and activities to help you bring these events to life in your classroom.

First, plan an eventful day of reading on March 2 to celebrate Read Across America Day. Keep a record of the books your students read with the Reading Log, and end the day with a presentation of Reading Awards.

Next, study the impact of great women throughout history and their struggle for equal rights during this Women's History Month. Learn about International Women's Day (March 2), and challenge your students to make up their own Women's Day theme song.

Finally, celebrate St. Patrick's Day (March 17), while teaching your class some Irish history.

Best Wishes,
The Editors of TeacherVision.com
