November 2009, Vol. 1

Female teacher with folders Dear Teachers,

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Include these holiday-themed activities in your curriculum to encourage your students to reflect on the meaning of the holiday: the origins of Thanksgiving and giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy.

November is American Diabetes Month. Take the time to focus on the always-salient topics of nutrition and health. Teaching students good habits now can help prevent serious health problems, such as diabetes, in the future.

If your classroom is beginning to slip into disarray as the holidays approach, review our organization tips and advice for getting your students, classroom, and paperwork in harmony.

Best Wishes,
The Editors of TeacherVision.com
