Dear Teacher,
It's that time of year again
Harry Potter time, that is! With the recent release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, kids are sure to be lining up at movie theaters to see the teen wizards in back action. Encourage students to read the entire series of books, then use our resources to quiz your class, compare the books and movies, read a biography of author J.K. Rowling, and more!
Practice geometry in your classroom in a variety of ways, using tangrams, toothpick puzzles, shapes to cut out, Pascal's triangles, critical-thinking exercises, and other methods.
The subject of social studies covers everything from civics and geography to government and history. Explore each topic with our printables, lessons, and activities.
When studying environmentalism, be sure to focus on the rain forest. The animals, native peoples, and plants each play an important part in the biome, but they're constantly being endangered by outside forces.
Also in this issue: the creativity and assessment opportunities afforded by using journals in the classroom.
Best Wishes, The Editors of TeacherVision.com
