Dear Teacher,
December is almost here. That means the holiday rush, winter weather, and vacation! Prepare yourself for this busy time with our resources, starting with these Hanukkah activities. Share the history of Hanukkah (which begins this year on December 5) with your students—decorate your classroom with holiday paper chains, play the dreidel game, and create a menorah gallery for your students to display their art work.
Winter is approaching—the solstice is December 22. Incorporate the study of the season into your lesson plans by posting a winter bulletin board, keeping snow journals, and creating paper snowflakes to hang in your classroom.
Christmas is celebrated on December 25. Help your students discover the meaning of the holiday's traditions, with our printables and activities. Have fun as well—your students can construct poinsettias, learn to say "Merry Christmas" in many languages, and make Christmas cards to send to family and friends.
Also in this issue: Slideshows on a variety of topics, including favorite Thanksgiving activities and math graphic organizers.
Best Wishes, The Editors of TeacherVision.com
