Multiple Intelligences:

A Three-Part Series

Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences (MI) explains the natural strengths people possess. Intelligences are best viewed as potentials that are either realized or not realized, depending on the context in which they are found. So, once you identify your students' abilities, you can create a learning environment to maximize their potential.

Teaching to children's strengths goes a long way toward creating a learning environment that increases the possibilities for success. On the MI Activities page, you will find a comprehensive listing of all of the projects in the last two articles that correspond to all eight of the intelligences.
