Halloween People, Places, and Things
These lists can be used in different ways. They can be duplicated and cut crosswise into strips. These are put into a large sack and drawn out by the students, who then use each slip as the basis for a creative writing assignment.Or you might supply three sacks, one for people, one for places, and one for things. The lists are copied and cut apart into slips for each category. The children draw one of these slips from each sack and write a story based on the three slips drawn, or you can suggest that they trade some of their slips with friends to secure a story outline that especially interests them.
