Make a No-Waste Sack Lunch

Directions: To reduce the amount of trash that schools throw into landfills, you are going to invent a NO-WASTE SACK LUNCH.

A sack lunch with a sandwich, a juice drink, some chips, cookies, and an apple makes a LOT of waste. There's the paper lunch bag, the plastic wrap for the sandwich, the plastic wrap for the cookies, and the empty juice box.
Can you design a lunch with NO WASTE?

  1. What will you carry it in?

Will this REDUCE REUSE or RECYCLE?

  2. What will you put the sandwich in to keep it fresh?

  4. What kind of container can hold the juice?

Draw a picture of your no-waste lunch on the back of this page.
