June 2007, Volume 2

Dear Teacher,

Take advantage of summer's freshest produce to teach your students about nutrition. Bring in an assortment of fruits and vegetables and focus on exploring the different food groups, or use food as a material in your instruction. Either way, your students will have a great time playing with their food!

The advent of summer is a good time to study global warming and its effect on climate and weather. Explain the basics of global warming to your students, then give them a few tips on things they can do to help the environment.

We've recently added Sudoku to our website! This is a fun activity that you and your students will really enjoy, and it’s great for building logic, math, and thinking skills. There are different levels of difficulty, to keep everyone challenged. It's also printable and includes features like hints and "sticky notes," so that you can save your number possibilities. This really is the best Sudoku on the Web.

Best Wishes,
From the Editors of TeacherVision.com
