June 2007, Volume 1

Dear Teacher,

Independence Day is approaching -- make sure your students know that the holiday is about more than just fireworks using our lessons and activities on the Fourth of July.

Encourage discussion of current events in the classroom by teaching your students about the United States government. Show them how everything works -- balance of power, to the three branches, to the election process.

July is an excellent time to take a field trip to the zoo. Teach your students about the various animals they will see there. Then watch how excited they are to see them in the flesh!

Best Wishes,
From the Editors of TeacherVision.com
