April 2007, Volume 1

Dear Teacher,

May 6-12 is Teacher Appreciation Week, a time to applaud yourself and your colleagues. Send them an e-card to celebrate your profession!

Don't let your students forget May 13 — it's Mother's Day! Encourage them to show their mothers — and other important family members — how much they love them.

TeacherVision's lead designer, Jeff Kinney, is a published author! We're so proud of him and his fantastic book, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Greg Heffley's Journal, an engaging story of a middle school boy navigating his way through life. This book first appeared as an online book on our sister site, Funbrain, and has been read by 35 million unique readers so far! The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Greg Heffley's Journal is — to quote a review by the School Library Journal Review — "an excellent choice for reluctant readers, but more experienced readers will also find much to enjoy and relate to in one seventh grader's view of the everyday trials and tribulations of middle school." Check out the online or the hardcopy version of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Greg Heffley's Journal, and use our activities to compliment the book.

Best Wishes,
From the Editors of TeacherVision.com
